During her years on the bench, Ms. Ewing conducted settlement conferences, had regular interactions with mediators in her courtroom, and served on the Jefferson County Mediation Services Advisory Board. She has often referred to herself as a “mediation cheerleader.” In 2016, she received the Certificate of Appreciation Award from Jefferson County Mediation Services in recognition of her consistent and ongoing support of its program; that award was created especially for her that year, which was very honoring.
